This compact and lightweight motor, which won the prestigious Excellence Award at the China Cycle trade show in May 2024, is now being produced as the ideal motor for eCity and eTrekking enthusiasts.
With the production of the M5000, Ananda reinforce its dedication to providing riders with the best riding experience possible, while supporting eBike brands in maintaining their unique identities and strengths.
Who is it developed for?
The M5000 is designed for the broad-based market with a special focus on commuters, recreational cyclists, and eTrekking enthusiasts seeking a reliable, powerful, yet affordable solution with quiet operation.
In developing the M5000 motor, Ananda not only listened to its customers but also closely studied real-world riding behavior. As a result, the M5000 is now available with the Enviolo AutomatiQ gear system, allowing riders to enjoy automatic shifting without the need for manual gear changes.
Why was it developed?
With the M5000, We aim to further advance the development of a mid-motor system that is affordable and accessible to everyone. The motor features a sleek, compact, and lightweight design, currently weighing 2.8 kilograms, with a scheduled reduction to 2.5 kilograms by December 2024.
“This lightweight design is achieved through various innovations, such as optimizing the magnetic field by redesigning the rotor and stator,” says Jason Shen, product manager at Ananda in Shanghai.
One of Ananda’s key strengths of Ananda is the ability to implement improvements quickly and efficiently thanks to its in-house production facilities. With three factories in China and one in Vietnam, Ananda has full control over the production process. This allows the M5000 motor to stand out as a high-quality product offered at a competitive market price.
